Virtual Field Experiences
On this page we will advertise and provide links to a variety of virtual field excursions that are generated using our software package, experiences generated by us as well as others.
At the moment, we are showcasing our Whaleback Anticline field excursion, which is available to use in its beta version.
If you'd like to stay informed about upcoming releases (there are two different games currently in the works (slated for a late March release), please fill out our Google Form and indicate how we can contact you.
Now that we have developed our basic toolkit for making measurements on 3D surfaces, we are creating new virtual field experiences -- some are designed from scratch in a low-poly style.
We will soon release our Fold Training Camp (image on right), in which the user can investigate two islands containing a variety of fold geometries. The user can instantly generate pi-plots of the different folds to estimate the trend-and-plunge of fold axes. The Training Camp also features an optional tutorial on planar and linear projections within stereonets -- an interactive tutorial that takes advantage of the 3D visualization tools we can use in our game environment.
